RIVER FUN RUN
Our most popular tour with a lunch option! Get your group on the river for a taste of river running – beginner and veteran paddlers alike enjoy the scenery and opportunities to cool off in this wonderful run. This 3.1 mile stretch of the Verde provides a refreshing taste of the last semi-free flowing in Arizona.
Adventure Additions:
Build A Boat
This event can be held wherever there is water; lake, river or swimming pool – great for camps! Groups are split into teams of 5-10 for this water fun activity and given an array of building material to work as a team to build a one-person kayak. Once the teams have built their “hopeful” floater, they fly their colors and race for the title of best boat with an award ceremony to celebrate complete with metals.
Catapult Launch
Groups are split into teams of 5-10 for this fun activity and provided materials to create a flag to fly their motto and time to develop a competitive team chant. Once the teams have built their flag design and shared their warrior yell, teams are given an array of building material to work as a team to build a large, wooden catapult. After teams have built their catapult design, they compete for the title of best launch in accuracy, distance and efficiency with an award ceremony to celebrate complete with medals.
Crate Stack
Crate stacking is the portable alternative to rappelling when a cliff isn’t available, and trees are. As an individual challenge, each person is given the opportunity to slip into a climbing harness and try their skill at stacking milk crates as high as 20 feet into the air to ring a bell before the crates come crashing down. This is as much fun to watch as it is to participate! AE also provides the popular game of 9-square to assist in friendly competition as others are climbing the milk crates.
Derby Car
Groups are split into teams of 5-10 for this fun activity and provided materials to create a flag to fly their motto and time to develop a competitive team chant. Once the teams have built their flag design and shared their warrior yell, teams are given an array of building material to work as a team to build a one-person, drivable race car and decorate their team logo on a racing suit. Once the teams have built their derby car design, they pick their driver and race for the title with an award ceremony to celebrate complete with medals.
Map Quest
Groups are split into teams of 5-10 for this fun activity and provided materials to create a flag to fly their motto and time to develop a competitive team chant. Once the teams have built their flag design and shared their warrior yell, they receive a map that reveals areas to find and compete as a team for points against the other clans. Upon completion of the course challenges, the clans assemble for an award ceremony to celebrate top score complete with medals.
